Install in four steps
Install from the Microsoft Store, or download the installer from this page.
Run the installer. Windows may ask for administrator permission because the app installs to Program Files.
Open Jeet Screen Recorder. Your 7-day free trial starts when you first use it. Connect to the internet at that time.
Step 4: Choose a preset and press F9 to record.
If Windows blocks the installer
Tip: if you do not want to see this warning, install the app from the Microsoft Store instead. The direct installer below is not yet digitally signed, so Windows may treat it as unknown software. This is common for new software. Download only from jsrecorder.com. The installer file is named JeetScreenRecorder-Setup-0.1.0.exe and is 141.73 MiB.
I see "Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen)
I see "Error 4551: An Application Control policy has blocked this file"
- Open Windows Security, then App & browser control, then Smart App Control settings.
- Choose Off. You need an administrator account.
- Run the installer again. Windows may now show a blue or purple "Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen) window with "Publisher: Unknown publisher". This is expected. Click More info if you see it, then click Run anyway.
- After installing, you can turn Smart App Control back on. On Windows 11 with the April 2026 or a newer update, you can turn it back on at any time. On an older Windows version, turning it back on may need a Windows reset, so decide before you turn it off.
